Jeff Lisandro – The Australian is undoubtedly one of the best Stud and Hold’em players globally. But he has also participated in several big HORSE tournaments, getting the 5th place in 2010 at the WSOP (World Series of Poker) and a seventh place in 2008 at the WSOPE (World Series of Poker Europe). Jeff has shown that he has talent in this game that combines up to 5 different disciplines of Poker. However, despite being an experienced player, he has never managed to improve on these results.
Mike DeMichele and Scotty Nguyen – In 2008, Scotty Nguyen took home $ 50,000 in the WSOP HORSE Poker Championship. However, that was not the main story. Scotty drank heavily during that final table and lost all his chances for a big prize. Mike DeMichele, however, had a great final table (totally sober, of course) and ended up taking second place and a $ 1.2 million prize pool.
Daniel Negreanu – This Canadian-born professional poker player had the 2017 WSOP Championship title in his pocket, but that was before the final table that he saw his chip stack go straight into the hands of Jason Mercier and Eric Rodawig. Eric Rodawig, during a round of Omaha Hi-Lo, flopped ‘triple sixes,’ while Negreanu only needed a spade to complete a winning hand. But this sword never came, and Negreanu plummeted to finish 6th in the championship. Another example is that one play can change an entire tournament and take you from the stars to the ground quickly.
